PSSI was the General Contractor for this $65M design build project for a five (5) level 650,000 square-foot above–ground parking facility for 1,500 vehicles; Precast double tees on structural steel beams and columns superstructure supported on steel taper-tube piles and pile cap foundations which allowed increased capacity per square foot. The simplicity of design as an open garage aided in PANYNJ security efforts. Entry and Exit PlazaCoordination of superstructure and other subcontractors, including retaining and managing design engineers; responsible for all submittals, inspections, and documentation; other tasks included excavation, relocation of existing in-ground utilities; Installation of piles and concrete pile caps and grade beams; installation of new underground utilities and drainage structures; managing and coordinating precast concrete double tee superstructure on steel beams and columns (lateral loads resisted by moment frames in lieu of braced frames); precast concrete spandrels; finish work including curtain wall and storefronts, facility lighting, emergency generator, automatic doors, overhead traction elevators, caulking and waterproofing, stand pipes, railings, cast-in-place concrete stairs, sidewalks and medians/islands, line striping; asphalt concrete at grade level; site work including curbs, sidewalks and roadway restoration.
